Travel Assistance for Pregnant Women

If you are pregnant and about to travel, we recommend doing so safely and calmly with travel assistance.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) advises pregnant women to travel from week 12 to week 36 of gestation when the pregnancy has no complications up to that point, and until week 32 for multiple pregnancies (under the same conditions). After that time, you must present a medical certificate at the counter before traveling.

Don't forget to add to your plan PAX's “Extra Future Mom” upgrade, which increases medical assistance expenses up to USD 20,000 and is valid until week 32 of gestation and for pregnant women up to 45 years old. Assistance for pregnant women covers emergencies that arise during the trip, including: emergency check-ups, urgent ultrasounds, medical assistance for illnesses caused by their pregnancy situation, emergency deliveries due to illness or accidents that endanger the life of the mother or the baby, and any medical assistance arising from the pregnancy situation.
