Essential requirement (without exception):
You must have the original invoice of the device or the customs declaration before leaving your country of residence.
Without one of these documents, we will not be able to provide the benefit.

If a theft or robbery occurs during the trip:

• File a report immediately, that same day, with the local police or a similar agency in the place where you are (as applicable).
• The report must include the technical description and identifying details of the device: brand, model, serial number/IMEI, or other relevant information.
• Contact us immediately via WhatsApp (24/7) and send the report along with the documentation.

Without a report, unfortunately, we will not be able to take responsibility for the benefit.

Traveling is also an opportunity for sports recreation or perhaps the reason for your trip. We will support you in whatever activity you engage in, whether recreational, training, or competitive.

Our plans include medical assistance for amateur sports, but if you are going to practice or compete in any of the following recreational activities, we recommend adding this "Sports" Upgrade to your plan:

What does medical assistance for sports entail?
You can engage in the activities you enjoy, and in case of an accident during sports practice, you will have access to medical care, medications, ambulance transport, hospitalization, and hotel expenses for recovery.

What should I do if a problem occurs while practicing sports?
If you have an accident, call our assistance center immediately via WhatsApp. If you need to seek care on your own, keep all medical care receipts/invoices so we can manage the payment of expenses through PAX CASH.
Remember that you have the benefit of instant Telemedicine assistance, where health professionals are waiting for your video call.

If you have a pre-existing condition, PAX recommends that you consider adding this benefit to your plan to increase the assistance limit.

What is a pre-existing condition?
These are any medical conditions you had before starting your trip and are part of your life. They may have been diagnosed before or not.

What does medical assistance for pre-existing conditions include?
It includes primary medical care for acute episodes or unpredictable cases, decompensation of chronic and/or known pre-existing conditions or previously asymptomatic conditions that require assistance during the trip.

If I have a health emergency due to a pre-existing condition, what should I do?
Before traveling, we recommend getting a medical check-up and obtaining written confirmation that you are fit to travel for the planned number of days and to the intended destination.
If something happens, simply contact our PAX Help Line, by phone or WhatsApp, and we will assist you immediately.
Don't forget to identify yourself and describe your symptoms during the call so we can provide you with a better solution.

If the activity you are going to engage in is risky, you should not hesitate to add this Upgrade to your PAX Plan.

Activities included in the "Extreme Sports" Upgrade:

Traveling and pregnancy are two words filled with happiness. PAX is here to help you enjoy beautiful experiences with your future baby.

If you are traveling while pregnant and are between 19 and 42 years old, PAX will provide medical assistance in case of complications up to week 26 inclusive within your PAX Plan. But if you are over 42 years old, have surpassed week 26 of pregnancy, or simply want a higher amount of assistance, we suggest adding this benefit.

The "Extra Expecting Mom" Upgrade increases medical assistance expenses up to USD 20,000, valid until week 32 of gestation and for pregnant women up to 45 years old. Validity: 30 days.

What period of pregnancy do you recommend traveling?
The recommended period is from the second trimester of pregnancy to the beginning of the third: between weeks 14 and 32, when symptoms are stable, the embryonic stage has passed, and you are not close to your due date.
It is also important to have the necessary tests and medical check-ups with your specialist and to be advised whether it is advisable to plan your trip, as it will depend on the trimester you are in, your health status, and any medical conditions you may have during pregnancy.

Can an airline prevent me from traveling?
We recommend checking the flight conditions of the airline you choose, as some may restrict access starting from week 36 of pregnancy to avoid any risk.

Don't forget:

• Choose a destination that does not put too much strain on your body or cause you stress (altitude, climate, or types of food that may be counterproductive).
• Check with your accommodation what type of care they offer for pregnant women.
• Travel comfortably and avoid straining with luggage.

What does assistance for pets include?

• In case of an accident or non-pre-existing illness of the pet, PAX Assistance will cover the necessary veterinary assistance expenses —consultations, medications, diagnostic tests, or surgical interventions, among others— as long as it is a verifiable emergency.
• It also covers the necessary administrative procedures and repatriation expenses in case of the pet's death.
• Valid for 90 consecutive days for pets between 4 months and 11 years old inclusive.
